Sacrified generations :

There are almost 6 million 15 to 24 year-olds without a job in the EU, a rate of 23%, up from 15% in early 2008. In a further six EU southern countries, youth unemployment is around 30%. President of the EFD Group and UKIP Leader Nigel Farage comments this sacrifice of young generations mainly on behalf of the Euro policy, but also the rise of eurocriticism in Germany and finally pleads in favour of a Europe made of independent States.

"What qualifies the EU for this accolade?" asks MEP John Bufton (Ukip, EFD Group) after the award of the Nobel Peace Prize to the EU. Reminding that "Peace since 1945 owes nothing to the EU but NATO", John explains that Europe is now really far from the original utopia of peace, democracy and prosperity announced : "At present, after putting political will over common sense by creating a single currency, we are left with a crisis that the unelected European Commission is unashamedly using to push forward deeper integration.

Last week in Strasbourg, MEPs called for a new comprehensive strategic concept for the Union's foreign policy in order for it to be coherent, consistent and effective. They also said that the policy should have sufficient resources when they voted when they voted on the annual common foreign and security policy (CFSP) report by Elmar Brok on 12 September.
