The United Kingdom chairs since November the rotating presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, decision-making body of the pan-European organization in Strasbourg. In a speech few weeks ago, Prime Minister David Cameron warned that the court risked undermining its own reputation by "going over national decisions where it does not need to".

British Prime Minister David Cameron said that if Britain left the EU, the country would find itself in the position of Norway. According to Nigel Farage, Cameron admitted that Britain would still have a free trade deal with 29 States from the European Economic Area (EEA). For UKIP's leader, "there is absolutely nothing to fear in terms of trade from leaving the European Union, because on D+1 we'll find ourselves part of the European Economic Area and with a free trade deal."
